This information is from David Hawgood's study of Hawgood genealogy. I do not know of any Hawgood entries in Welsh records before Henry Hawgood rented a farm in Pembrokeshire in 1809. His wife was born nearby about 1785 - but it seems amost certain that they were married in London in 1806, and I do not know where Henry was born. One of their children, Thomas, emigrated to the United States in 1851 - see separate page for family of Thomas Hawgood and descendants in the U.S.A
