This information is from David Hawgood's study of Hawgood genealogy. The first generation, John Hawgood and Anne Swinton, have not been researched in detail - they are only known from index entries for London in the IGI. I have many records of George Hawgood who was a coachman in Birmingham and Birmingham before moving back to London and driving a Clapham omnibus (horse-drawn). Of his children, I only know about the descendants of William Thomas (1842-1921). One of his sons Frederick Charles Hawgood was a mining engineer in India, and some descendants are now in Australia.
