This web page (and book Appendix) explain the relationship between the on-line book and the printed book.
There is a web page per Chapter. Each page has explanatory text written by David Hawgood, and examples from web pages which are either within GENUKI or easily reached from GENUKI.
Examples are numbered within the Chapter. The caption under an example has a link to the web page of which the example is an extract. There is also an acknowledgment to the author or publisher of the web page.
The actual example will be a short extract, sufficient to show the type of information available. It will be reformatted as text (monospaced where needed) with headings.
These have been changed in this on-line version of the book.
On page 9 of the printed book, last paragraph, "Example
1.2" should be "Example 1.3"
On page 13 of the printed book, first paragraph, "Example
1.3" should be "Example 1.4"
On page 16 of the printed book, middle paragraph, "Example
1.3" should be "Example 1.4"
There are a number of changes to web addresses. These are being changed in the on-line version of the book when the GENUKI error checking system finds that the links have stopped working.
